Nicky Trussler
MA; Grad Dip; BA(hons); DipSW


Nicky completed a Masters degree in Social Worker in 2005 and since that time has worked supporting children and families in a range of roles. Prior to starting private practice in 2019, Nicky worked as a mental health clinician for children and adolescents, as a behavioural consultant for children accessing early intervention NDIS plans, and extensively with children who had experienced trauma and attachment disruptions.

Nicky is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the AASW and Registered Play Therapy Supervisor with APTA. She has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Youth Mental Health, and is a Certified Synergetic Play Therapist, Autplay Therapy Provider and Interplay Therapist. Nicky has a particular interest in working with neurodivergent clients and their families, and supporting other practitioners to build their skills to support this client group.

Paulaida Fitzsimmons

BSW, Diploma in Community Services.

Paulaida has over 15 years’ experience working with children and families across multiple domains. Paulaida has worked within the Child Protection and Families services fields, as a Sexual Assault and Family Violence counsellor, and currently work as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker in private practice. She has a comprehensive understanding of trauma, attachment, mental health, neurodivergence, and setting up/running a private practice.

Paulaida works from a neurodivergent affirmative position and has a specific interest in supporting neurodivergent children and their families, as well as supporting children who have experienced trauma. She currently works as a therapist supporting children 12 and under and their families.

Paulaida is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Certified Synergetic Play Therapist, Certified Autplay Therapy Provider and have additional qualifications specific to supporting children and families. These include:
